Liverpool’s upcoming kit agreement could give owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) more room to spend on players, according to a report from TEAMtalk. The outlet reports that the club’s new kit plan, worth around £120 million per year, is expected to strengthen the club’s financial position ahead of future transfer windows.
TEAMtalk’s analysis follows a series of commercial announcements involving Liverpool. The Times reported that Liverpool have agreed a record-breaking £300 million shirt deal with Turkish Airlines, while The Guardian put the value of that shirt sponsorship at £60 million a year. Standard Chartered, the club’s current main sponsor, will continue as a Global Partner starting from the 2027/28 season, according to a statement from the bank. CNA also confirmed a five-year sponsorship agreement with Turkish Airlines.
The new kit deal is separate from the shirt sponsorship arrangement. Together, these commercial agreements are expected to increase the club’s annual revenue, which TEAMtalk suggests will translate into greater transfer spending power for FSG. The report does not specify how much of the new income would be allocated to player signings or when the club might make its next major purchase.
